The YRS 2015 is scheduled on June 17-19, 2015 in Rome, Italy.
On June 19, the YRS 2015 Steering Committee awarded the four best papers and presentations.
Veronica Kureckova (CDV) won the first prize for her paper „First aid as an important traffic safety factor“.
The steering committee decided to grant second prize ex-aequo to:
André Paixao (LNEC) for his paper “Railway tracks transition zones: experimental and numerical studies“ (restricted publication)
Gaby Gurczik (DLR) for her paper “Bluetooth based Floating Car Observer: Model Evaluation using Simulation and Field Measurements"
Jose Ramalho (POLITO) for his paper “Impacts of Advanced Travel Information Systems on Travel Behaviour: Smartmoov’ case study”.
The next Young Researchers Seminar will be held in Spring 2017 and will be hosted by DLR in Germany.
This seminar offers the opportunity to extend the network of young transport researchers belonging to ECTRI, FEHRL and FERSI members as well as from TRB. Moreover young researchers are able to improve their presentation skills in written and oral scientific communication by tutorial means and on a retroactive basis.
Therefore, this conference is not only aims at scientific excellence, but also at presentation skills and the ability to put science into practice.
