The TRB 100th Annual Meeting was conducted as a virtual event, with sessions and exhibits on January 21–22 and January 25–29, 2021. The decision to go virtual was made in light of the coronavirus disease (COVID-19), out of concern for the health and safety of all meeting attendees.
Within the framework of the ECTRI-TRB MoU, ECTRI actively participated in several of the conference activities.

ECTRI had a booth at the TRB 2021 Exhibit hall, showcasing ECTRI activities and its Members, with a focus on exploring opportunities for cooperation with key European mobility research organisations. Furthermore, it also showcase the TRA 2022, TRA VISIONS 2022 and BE OPEN projects’ activities. At the Exhibit hall was also Springer Nature’s booth and their journal spotlight, the ETRR journal, sponsored by ECTRI.
