The FIRM19 – FEHRL Infrastructure Research Meeting 2019, took place on 26 – 28 March 2019 in Brussels. FEHRL celebrated its 30th anniversary and played host to some 120 Transport Infrastructure Research Experts, from Europe and beyond, providing them with opportunities in identifying research priorities and to maintain the positive climate for cooperation between institutes. The event was comprised of nine Sessions, including two Interactive Workshops (SKILLFUL and BE OPEN – H2020 projects) and a Session Workshop, covering all aspects of current and future needs for research, and offered a unique networking opportunity to participants.
The ECTRI President was invited to speak at the opening day of the FEHRL’s FIRM19 under the Session 1: Fostering Innovation in Transport Infrastructure. Dr. Evangelos Bekiaris stressed during his speech that more collaboration between European Associations is needed and pointed it out potential areas for collaboration.
