ECTRI Member Research Centre for Transport and Logistics (CTL) at Sapienza University of Rome has published a new academic paper titled “Assessment of Public Transportation Safety Measures in Yaoundé, Cameroon: Case of Collective Taxis”. This study was conducted through CTL’s startup, CTLup.
A team of researchers from CTL, including Stephen Kome, Steffel Feudjio, Professor Luca Persia, and Davide Shingo Usami, collaborated with experts Idris SEUNDA and Jean François Wounba (Ph.D.) from ENSTP Yaoundé-Padoue to evaluate safety measures in collective taxis.
The research findings highlight the prevalence of risky driving behaviors among collective taxi drivers in Yaoundé. Importantly, the study also revealed significant associations between drivers’ risk perceptions and their involvement in risky driving behaviors.
