For the first time, as part of the main programme, the “Research in Focus sessions” will reinforce the objective of supporting policy makers to plan their actions for the coming years, with knowledge and insights from researchers, and complementing the core sessions. As part of the cooperation with ITF, ECTRI, TRB, the European Commission and WCTRS are organising three sessions, under the theme of the Summit “Transport Enabling Sustianable Economies”.
Join us to reflect and share perspectives on these topics, with research experts, senior-level practitioners, policy makers and strategists.
ECTRI will be present at the event and our community involved in several sessions, namely:
🔸 Ingrid Skogsmo, VTI and ECTRI President will speak at the Open Stage Café on Making Research Count for in Transport Policy, May 24 (13:00-13:45)
🔸 Prof. George Yannis, NTUA will speak at the Spotlight on Research session on “How to Design Safe and Equitable Transport Systems to Give Access to All?”, May 24 (9:00 – 10:30)
🔸 Karolina Isaksson, VTI will speak at the Spotlight on Research session on “How to Plan for Sustainable and Efficient Urban Logistics Systems?”, May 26 (9:00 – 10:30)

Held since 2017 as the ITF pre-Summit Research Day, the “Research’ sessions” (3) organised by ITF – International Transport Forum together with ECTRI, the European Commission, TRB and WCTRS, are this year fully part of the 3-days ITF Summit programme.
