ECTRI replies to Public consultation on the greening of corporate fleets

In support of the ambitious goals set under the European Green Deal and the Sustainable and Smart Mobility Strategy, which aim to reduce transport emissions by 90% by 2050 compared to 1990 levels, the European Commission has opened a public consultation on the greening of corporate fleets (06/02/2024 – 08/07/2024).

The Commission highlights that corporate fleets for light and heavy-duty vehicles have high yearly mileage and rapid vehicle turnover, making them well-suited to accelerating the transition towards zero-emission mobility. This consultation targets corporate fleets of cars, vans, lorries, and coaches (excluding buses under public procurement) and seeks input on measures to expedite this transition.

ECTRI welcomes the opportunity to contribute to this initiative and supports the European Commission in exploring measures to accelerate the shift to zero-emission vehicles, thereby advancing the EU’s zero-emission targets for transport.
