On April 25 and 26, ECTRI held its 2023 Spring Assembly at the Université Gustave Eiffel – Campus de Lyon in Lyon-Bron, France.
The President, Ingrid Skogsmo led the first Assembly meeting of her mandate, presenting for approval the ECTRI Implementation and Action Plan for the period of 2023-2024. Alongside, the Thematic Groups (TG) guidelines for functioning, the new TG and Task Forces leadership teams and ECTRI’s communication plan were also approved.
The financial situation of the association was reviewed and the annual accounts 2022 approved.
Furthermore, as new ECTRI Member, Assoc. Prof. Dario Babić presented the Faculty of Transport and Traffic Sciences, University of Zagreb (FPZ) expertise and planned involvement in the ECTRI activities.
This was also the occasion to present the opportunities to get involved in TRA 2024 and TRA VISIONS competitions, to take place in Dublin, Ireland from 15th – 18th of April 2024.
The second day of the meeting was dedicated to technical visits and presentation. It started with a guided tour of TRANSPOLIS led by Philippe Bonanaud (UNI EIFFEL). TRANSPOLIS is the world-class center for innovation and development in the field of safe and sustainable vehicles and infrastructures. Back at the UNI EIFFEL premises, Philippe Vezin (UNI EIFFEL) presented the results of the ENA Project “How to use technological innovation to promote social innovation”. This project’s objective was to explore the conditions for the penetration of new passenger vehicle technologies through the development of a dynamic model of the French automotive market. Finally, the ECTRI Members had the opportunity to visit and try the driving simulator.
