Leading academic researchers and practitioners will meet at the Pre-Summit Research Day on May 17 to present and discuss topics relevant to the 2022 Summit’s theme “Transport for Inclusive Societies” . The event promotes bringing research results into practice: ever more important given the pace of evolution of our transport systems. The Research Day is a great opportunity to exchange between researchers and representatives from governments, cities, and other decision makers.
The one-day programme will cover four specific topics:
- Promoting inclusive, sustainable and active mobility in African cities
- Planning for inclusive transport decarbonisation measures in European cities
- An invitation to the table: listening to all for better transport policies
- Transport digital innovations for more sustainable and accessible transport systems for all
Summit registration includes access to the Pre-Summit Research Day. To only attend the Pre-Summit Research Day, a EUR 250 fee applies. Students – including PhD students – can register on-site for both the Pre-Summit Research Day and the ITF Summit (17-20 May) for EUR 50.
The event is organised by ITF together with ECTRI, the European Commission, the US TRB and the WCTRS.
