The BUFTOD conference is a dedicated arena for the debate on TOD, allowing the crossing of scientific disciplines and the associated approaches, exchanging on cases studies at the international level (in Europe, Americas, Asia …). The BUFTOD 2012 conference explored the role of rail and other transport modes in transit oriented development and the connection with spatial development at the urban and regional scales. This conference co-organized by Ifsttar took place in Paris/Marne-la-Vallée, France on April 16-17, 2012.
